We recently spent a week at the all-inclusive Sanctuary Cap Cana, a Marriott-Bonvoy property in Punta Cana. The week was blissful, as we escaped the cold weather in the northeast, but Sanctuary falls short of their all-inclusive policy. We knew when we booked that Sanctuary Town was not included in the all-inclusive package the hotel offers. As a result, we didn't visit Sanctuary Town, other than to just stroll around to take a look. It's a real shame that Marriott eliminated these restaurants from their all-inclusive, given that the resort only offers 4 restaurants for dinner to their guests. 2 of those restaurants are walk-in places, but the other 2 require a reservation. The Steakhouse at Sanctuary Cap Cana is by far the best restaurant at the resort. They have nice menu selections, amazing ribeye steak and friendly staff. If you go anytime after 7:30pm, you'll be waiting for a table. Blue Marlin has ok seafood options. Situated on stilts in the ocean, there is always a nice breeze throughout the place. If the wind is stronger, it gets uncomfortable. The service here is terrible and this is the reason I can't recommend it. Capriccio is an Italian-style restaurant and one of the 2 that require a previous reservation. I didn't think the food was good. My spaghetti carbonara lacked the guanciale the dish offers. The dishes are extremely small. The staff was ok. WOK is the last restaurant on the property and very hard to secure a reservation to, although I'm not sure why. The Pan-Asian cuisine is only mediocre, although the ambiance is very nice. They are always very busy and the staff is hit or miss.

This charming inside/outside, open-air food court feels like stepping into a beautifully curated Mediterranean coastal village, complete with cobblestone paths, twinkling lights, and inspiring decorations in every corner. The cozy atmosphere is perfect for a romantic evening stroll or a fun group outing, and the creative, high-quality dining options elevate it far beyond a typical food court. Sanctuary Town offers a delightful variety of theme restaurants and consumption spots, blending international flavors with regional Dominican twists. Here's what stood out to me: -Mamma's Forno & Pasta— This spot transports you straight to Italy with authentic wood-fired pizzas and handmade pastas. The dough is perfectly crispy, the sauces are rich and flavorful, and the portions are generous. I tried the classic Margherita and a truffle-infused pasta – both were exceptional! -Rincón de Paco — A traditional Spanish tavern that feels like a hidden gem. The tapas, grilled meats, and Iberian specialties (like jamón ibérico and piquillo peppers) were outstanding. Paired with a great wine selection, it's ideal for a leisurely dinner. -Burger Factory— For something casual and indulgent, these gourmet burgers hit the spot. Juicy, perfectly seasoned patties with creative toppings – a crowd-pleaser every time. -Sweet House— The dessert paradise! From decadent cakes and ice creams to tropical-inspired treats, everything is fresh and beautifully presented. Perfect for ending the night on a sweet note. -Sushi Town— An izakaya-inspired haven with an impressive array of fresh sushi, sashimi, nigiri, and gunkan-maki. The quality rivals top sushi spots – incredibly fresh fish in a tropical setting is a rare treat! The staff is warm, attentive, and always ready to recommend pairings or specials. The innovative fusion of regional Caribbean ingredients with global cuisines makes every meal feel fresh and exciting. Plus, the open layout encourages hopping between venues, creating a lively yet relaxed vibe. Hours are Wednesday through Sunday from 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., so plan your evenings accordingly – it's the perfect spot to unwind after a day at the beach or resort pools. Whether you're craving comfort food, fine dining touches, or just a beautiful evening out, Sanctuary Town delivers pure magic. I can't recommend this place highly enough – it's a 5-star experience through and through! If you're in Cap Cana, don't miss it. I'll be dreaming about that wood-fired pizza until my next visit! so, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED 🌴🍕🍣

Sushi town was amazing! 10/10 sushi. My favorite was nigiri salmon. The beer hall was amazing as well with a pool table. So fun! If we ever return to cap can we will definitely stop by.

This resort is very nice and quiet, the food tasted fresh all the time, the staff is very attentive and helpful all the time, the only downside is that there was a lot of seaweed at this time of the year and the beach didn't look appealing to go in, the pools made up for it
