Best ATM in Santo Domingo if you are a tourist and have Bank of America account. The fees was only about 2-3 USD and the machine was able to dispense 100 pesos.
I'm a scotiabank customer, I visited this location to apply for a mortgage loan. Luci was the person in charge of my acount, I provided all my documents. No action was taken either by lucy or paola. I ended getting the loan from VIMENCA BANK. They shoulbe ashamed and embarrassed.
So so
Safe location. Good atm.
I went in to exchange Dominican Pesos for USD, as I'm leaving the country, and the cashier rolled her eyes several times, then looked at me in disbelief about the service I was asking for. I speak Spanish fluently, so it's not like she misunderstood me. I asked again, "This is a bank, how can you not do currency exchange?" She rolled her eyes, sighed loudly, and told me to go to a currency exchange. I will be following up with Scotiabank headquarters in Canada. There is literally no way an international bank doesn't do currency exchange. I went in to exchange cash...Dominican Pesos for US Dollars. The cashier rolled her eyes and told me no. I asked again, "This is an international bank, how is it possible that you don't do currency exchange?" Again, she rolled her eyes, sighed loudly, and sent me packing. I'm going to call the main office in Canada because it's impossible that an international bank doesn't exchange local currency for dollars or euros.
