One of the worst experiences from any bank. I opened and account thinking it would help me gain access to a loan for a property that was being offered to me at a great price. The first day was great and I asked the lady to open an account, what did she suggest? well to put it short she set me up with an account that would benefit her with a commission. I later found out that if I had a savings account, I would be charged any fees. Also remember the loan, they gave me such a hard time and took so long that the person reneged on the offer. The customer service is also horrible, waiting for hours to make a deposit. One time I took money out of my account which could lead you to pay 500 pesos in penalty, I needed to redeposit $5,000 pesos which I gave in dollars, the cashier deposits $99 dollars rather than the $100 dollars I gave her making me pay the penalty of 500 pesos. This bank is a scamming institution, I’ve since closed my account in this place and fled to another bank which as of today I can’t say if as great as it going. Be careful with the banks, they’re scammers.
Service a little slow but beats Banco Popular. I'd recommend Scotia Bank OVER Banco Popular anytime!
The staff only exchanges currency that they know, apparently they are only forced to exchange dollars and euros.
Customer service leaves much to be desired. It's comparable to another bank I won't mention. Very few times have the tellers been friendly. The last time I went to cash a check, the teller even spoke rudely to me for not being familiar with the process. I know it's my responsibility to be informed, but what does it cost to speak politely? And don't even get me started on the wait; even with few other customers, you still have to wait an extremely long time.
Very long lines at the vehicle and few parking spaces
