It’s a big supermarket. You can find almost everything here. And the price seems good.
Not the fanciest looking place on the outside and it is located in a busy area and street, but this place has a wide variety of things that you may need specially compared to most of the supermarkets & stores have to offer. As far as I know the Dominican Republic does not have a Walmart but La Sirena is as good as it gets when you are in the country
There is a 400 year old colonial wall in the store - wow. We returned 5 years later. The wall has a barrier now. We bought coffee to take back with us to U.K. both coffee whole beans and ground coffee
Always went to the Sirens to buy water and exchange money at the Western Union and to buy things that already have a posted price.... shop like a local.
Decent place to shop for just about anything including groceries and there is a small food court upstairs. Almost like a costco in the US.
