What a pleasant surprise visiting Tenú! The story behind the creation of the restaurant can be felt all around the place, from its food to its decoration and different spaces. The menu proposal mixing international food with a Dominican twist is so creative and delicious. For dessert the chocolate mousse is a must! We had lunch inside and then we sat on the terrace for tardeo drinks. Our server Randy was truly amazing, very attentive, knowledgeable and resourceful. Great experience, would recommend and visit again!
It is a beautiful place I went with my brother, his girlfriend, her 8-year-old daughter, and my 4-year-old daughter. The staff was very nice, and I ordered a pasta dish that turned out to be extremely salty, which is the only reason I’m giving it 4 stars. Moises was very accommodating and offered to get me another dish multiple times. I highly recommend trying the clear morirsoñando—it's amazing! We had a great night, and if you're in Santiago and want to have a wonderful experience, I encourage you to visit them.
I’ve been to various high end restaurants in The Dominican Republic. For my taste buds I’ve found this restaurant to be the best out of them all. A true gem. If you appreciate restaurants for unique flavors TENÚ is a must try. The Owner loves his craft. He is a chef himself. I think he has worked for high end restaurants and went to the best culinary school in Peru. Overall it was a great experience. Thank you TeNu everyone was satisfied.
Highly dissappointing. We had hoped that this restaurant would be Santiago's Ajuala, sadly this is not the case. With innovative drinks and a great starter our evening got off to a great start, this was not to last long however as our main was so salty as to be inedible. The staff lacked the wherewithall and tact to appropriately deal with the issue and proceeded to self-justify. Very sad but this restaurant had high potential but fell very short.
I was really excited to visit this place after so many recommendations, but unfortunately the experience didn’t live up to the hype. The restaurant itself is beautiful and very clean, but the service was inconsistent. From the moment we arrived, the host seemed distracted, stayed on his phone, and didn’t explain the menu or concept, even though it was clearly our first time. I later noticed another table receiving a full explanation, which made the difference in treatment very noticeable and uncomfortable. Our server was excellent and did her best. The chicharrón was outstanding 10/10. Unfortunately, the ceviche was disappointing and had an odd, almost soapy taste; I’ve had much better ceviche in the area. Overall, good ambiance and one great dish, but service matters. When you don’t feel welcomed or treated the same as other guests, it’s hard to want to return.
