The fish El coco was magnificent. We ordered two of them with plain rain and rice . The dish was big for me but o finished it as it was very delicious. The owners were sitting and having lunch after they served our food . Looks like the mother cooked the fish dish for us . We told her in person that the food was delicious. Note: as they make your dish on spot , the wait time could be 30 min at least.
The fish was delicious. The woman who I'm assuming was the owner was very nice. But took a long time to get our food, which delayed our trip. Would have liked a healthy side dish option, as like many places it only offered fried potatoes or fried plantains. The noise from the cars on the street is very loud.
I would say without hesitation - the best food on the way to Samana on this highway. Shrimps in coco and Pescado frito were fresh & cooked like a master chef. Front man is multilingual French expat gentleman, who is most polite & refined mannered that ensured exquisite & quality service. Would return again!
Good food and great service next time I take a trip to samana will stop here again. We came early so not a lot of the menu options were available but they made some delicious shrimp and pork chops. A little pricey though for the DR
The place was very clean an empty probably due to the pandemic, the food was really good as well as the portion. The don't accept credit/debit card or any kind of electronic payment wich is the only downside, but besides that very good.
