My boyfriend’s family and I stayed here for a week, and needless to say, there isn’t anything to complain about considering the price. I had read the reviews before our stay, and got kinda worried about the rooms and service of this resort. But was pleasantly surprised with everything they had to offer. The rooms were a little dated (but it’s not like we were staying here to be in our room all day), the pool was clean and hardly ever “busy” other than the times they would do water aerobics, the ocean was gorgeous and they cleaned the seaweed regularly, food was delicious and they wouldn’t serve the same stuff all week so there was a good variety,( my boyfriends sister is picky and she always liked something at the buffet) PLUS we didn’t get sick from it!! I would book again with how cheap it is compared to other resorts, and the only downside is the rooms!
We went as a couple and had a great time. Great stuff * beach is great * sea/ocean most excellent (quite warm) * cocktails amazing (they mix to order from a menu) Good stuff * room and linen very clean * housekeeping works really hard * food was really good. Good selection and tasty Could improve * water pressure * wi-fi * coffee It was pretty quiet in the evenings, however the had flamenco dancers one night which was really nice. We mostly came to escape winter and relax and that was 100% accomplished. There are 5 buildings with three floors each, building 5 being the closest to the ocean. No elevator which was not a problem for us but might be useful info to some. They only provide bed sheet as a cover, so you can bring a blanket if you think you’ll be cold (we weren’t with the exception of one night when we had chills from being sunburnt), bring a small foldable umbrella. Lounger situation is a bit annoying, people reserve loungers with a towel and then not show up for a whole day or two. Resort is quite small which was nice. Lots of various groups with mostly older people, coupes or families, so no rowdy parties. Service was great, even better if you tip. We tipped in pesos (100 pesos is little less than $2) and they really appreciated it. Apparently there is a gym, spa and a medical centre, I missed all that (lol). Pro tip *** Highly recommend Punta Cana Special cocktail.*** Beach sellers were pretty nice. We booked parasailing through them and they were great. (Eric with El Positivo company) There are two coffee machines in the lobby, and while they were good with selection and options, if you are really into your coffee this might be lacking a little bit. Overall great experience, I’m glad we went.
A very interesting experience is an all-inclusive when you arrive at the hotel people receive you must fill out a form , they give you the key to your room and the cards for towels , remember that not all people know English, my experience was quite unique the pool was clean, the food is healthy and they have many options all the cocktails were excellent remember that the resort has activities every night remember to see those boards there publish them. The rooms were very clean, the free internet service is not very good in the upper rooms, in the location it is not good, you have shops or shopping centers nearby. I brought my daughter and three grandchildren. We weren't expecting a luxury resort and were pleasantly surprised by how comfortable and relaxed we felt. The food is wonderful, lots of choices and very tasty. The beach was great and activities at night were lots of fun. The only problem we found was the speratic hot water. The staff was very pleasant and accommodating. Overall a great place to go for the price
Bottomline is this place is a BUDGET FRIENDLY resort, and should be rated as such. So to all the 1 stars, you can't get a Lambo for the price of a Honda. If you want to avoid renovations, pay a few bucks extra and book during peak season and through a travel agent - they have the low down on almost every resort and will always give you their best recommendations 😉 All in, for a BUDGET FRIENDLY get away, this was a great trip. The food was amazing for the most part, service was good, rooms were not perfect but they were clean and amenities were well maintained. Views and beach were fantastic! Pool is huge! And restaurants had more than ample seating, so reservations were not required. Staff was on point and there when needed. Only minor issues we had were 1. Plumbing issues resulting in minimal hot water to room shower - not a huge issue cause a cool shower is a nice way to beat the heat. 2. Not enough staff that spoke or understood English - They were friendly and helpful, just hard to communicate without a translator app. Definitely recommend if youre looking for a good, relaxing and cost effective getaway.
