It is a populous neighborhood in Santo Domingo, National District, and one of the most popular, located in District #3 of the National District. Its boundaries are: to the North, Avenida Máximo Gómez; to the East, Calle Manuel Ubaldo Gómez; and, after the area's renovations with new buildings and streets, Avenida Expreso 5to Centenario; to the South, Avenida J.F. Kennedy; and to the West, Calle Pedro Livio Cedeño. Before its official founding, this neighborhood was called Los Potreros de Venturita, as it encompassed part of the land where the old General Andrews Airport was located during the Trujillo era. In the early 1950s and 1960s, it was known by the name previously described. There are several sports clubs there, such as Mauricio Báez and Club Dosa, Catholic churches like the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, as well as several Protestant churches, private clinics and public medical dispensaries like the Mauricio Báez Club Medical Dispensary, various industries such as the chocolate factory called Cortes Hermanos, the coffee industry located between the La Fe and Villa Juana neighborhoods, the Liado National Cemetery, several state banks like the Banco de Reservas and others, as well as various construction companies, mechanical and painting workshops, among others.

They need to improve their customer service. The place doesn't have air conditioning, the units were broken, and it's far too hot... it's really not the same as in previous years, what a shame. I hope they can improve.
