Opps...we should have read the reviews. It started of rocky...the server didn't seem very vested in taking our drink and appetizer order. So imagine our surprize when the appetizer showed up with 1 serving the size of a casino chip. That was the last time we saw our server. We waited for over an hour for our main course order to be taken and then we gave up. Excellent location...excellent vibe...but if you can't serve your customers it's not going to work out favorably. We decided to go have pizza for Christmas dinner.

visited Vuelve a la Vida in Santo Domingo today, and honestly, I didn’t enjoy the concept. The restaurant is designed for groups to order several dishes and share, so if you go alone like I did, it’s not a great experience. The portions are very small and don’t really satisfy your hunger. Another thing I noticed is that the waiters keep suggesting more and more dishes, but it doesn’t feel like they’re doing it to help you have the best experience ,they just want to sell. That's how it felt to me Overall, if you’re going with friends, maybe it works. But if you’re dining solo, I wouldn’t recommend it. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t go back.

Love the ambience. Went for a date with the hubby, these people were Amazing!!! They offered just the right food for our mood and needs( not too hungry). If you are looking for a great Margarita - I'm picky since I'm coming from TX- 1800 coconut margarita is the ONE!!! Definitely coming back with friends and family.

The restaurant has a unique-nice atmosphere. The service was great and the food very good too. Everything that was recommended was good. Thank you for the great attention. We went earlier in the evening, but it seems to be more outgoing later at night..We are looking forward to go again.

Overall: food is very innovative, mixing mexican and japanese. Worth it to try waiter recommendations for entreés and main dish Atmosphere: Chill, different types of seating that adjust to people preferences: terrace, indoor, sofa seating, high tables, you name it.. Service: Freddy was the waiter, very nice. Food arrived fairly quick.
