I had a really nice experience while visiting Santo Domingo. If you’re in the mood for Italian food, this is definitely a solid option. The place has a modern and stylish feel, but still keeps a relaxed atmosphere that makes it comfortable whether you’re going for a casual dinner or something a bit more special. The food was very enjoyable and clearly inspired by classic Italian flavors. The pasta Carbonara and the pesto raviolis were well prepared, cooked just right, and full of flavor. You can tell they use quality ingredients, and everything comes out nicely presented. It’s the kind of meal that feels satisfying without being too heavy, and there’s enough variety on the menu to try different things on future visits. Service was friendly and attentive throughout the entire meal. The staff made sure we were comfortable, checked in at the right moments, and kept everything flowing smoothly without making it feel rushed. The ambiance adds a lot to the experience. It’s a great place to sit down, enjoy a good Italian meal, and spend some time in a relaxed setting. If you’re in Santo Domingo and craving Italian food, this is definitely worth a visit.
Food was excellent. Mix of great Italian dishes. Only the focaccia wasn't great, it basically wasn't focaccia. Service was on point. They were super reactive to all our questions. Atmosphere is calm, relaxing, very well decorated. You really feel that the place was perfectly designed by an architect. The restaurant is within a hotel that feels like a hidden gem and is really beautiful.
Fue rico!! Miguel was a wonderful sever. He helped us choose our meals and pair with a good wine. 🍷 highly recommend the ravioli dish!
It's a beautiful little Italian restaurant with a covered terrace that has a good menu. We had the mushroom risotto and seafood linguine and both were delicious. Our server was excellent, really above the standard, and the highlight was our dessert--the Chocolate Albahaca which came in a beautiful cacao pod ceramic covered bowl. Not only was the presentation beautiful but it was really really delicious and fun with the basil sauce.
I had an excellent time at Zola. The environment was very relaxing, and the restaurant is very aesthetically pleasing if you’re looking to also take pictures. I live in the Dominican Republic, and I went to stop by because I had a friend that came to visit, and I must say it is one of the best restaurants in La Zona. Our server, Diego, was just charismatic and very attentive; he definitely made sure that we were having a great time. I ordered a New York Angus (medium), and it was simply delicious. The food was also served in a timely fashion, which was great. They also have a great selection of drinks and in-house cocktails. The open-air terrace was very lovely as well, and they also have an inside area with AC. Overall, I had a fantastic time there, and I will definitely go there on a date or with family and friends.
